The top job roles in demand across the travel and tourism industry include sales & business development. And they make up 23% of total demand, followed by software and electrical engineers at 12%
Other jobs in demand include marketing & communication at 8%, while roles like chefs (5%) and medical representatives (5%) account for a considerable share of demand.
Expanding Gig Economy
Additionally, since January 2023, there has been a 14% increase in gig roles in the travel and tourism sector, according to Foundit data. This is because businesses are using the gig economy model to address specialized needs and fluctuating demand.
