Chandigarh Business Owners Present Odd-Even Opening Scheme for Shops

 UT Deputy Commissioner Mandip Brar chaired a panel of Chandigarh business owners and industrialists, and some of them made suggestions similar to these.

There were  demands  that shops dealing with unnecessary items  should be made to open immediately, at least on an even-odd basis.

The association said if banks, offices, and industries could open and the public could walk freely during this limited lockdown period. Also, it was very difficult for the medium and small shopkeepers to survive, as they had to pay rent and salaries apart from household expenses.
