Dr. Manu Verma, daughter of Sub-Inspector Devi Lal Bhobharia of the Chandigarh Police, passed the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) exam on her fifth attempt. Besides, the results of the Civil Services Examination-2023 were released on Tuesday, and Dr. Manu Verma came in at position 434.
Dr. Manu Verma’s success delighted her family and the village. Dr. Manu Verma holds an MBBS from GMCH 32 Chandigarh, and has been working as a demonstrator in the hospital’s pharmacy department for the last three years.
Her father is an ASI in the Chandigarh Police and works in the Police Complaints Department as a Reader DSP. Whereas, the mother of Dr. Manu Verma is a homemaker.
Panchkula’s Yogesh Ranks 55th in His Sixth Attempt at the Civil Service Examination
Yogesh Dilhor, who holds an LLB degree from the National Law School in Bangalore, succeeds in his sixth attempt at becoming an IAS member and ranks 55th.
Through the past five attempts, Dilhor had reached the interview stage two times following the preliminary and main examinations of the UPSC exam. Despite failing to pass all levels in 2021, he was chosen for the Indian Defence Estate Service after obtaining AIR 633.
Yogesh Dilhor, a 31-year-old Panchkula resident, is still pursuing his dream of becoming an IAS officer. After six attempts, he placed 55th in the UPSC.
Currently, he serves as the chief executive officer of the Himachal Pradesh cantonments of Subathu and Jutogh.
Passionate about achieving the rank of an IAS officer, he sat for the exam again in UPSC 2022 and UPSC 2023.
Moreover, when asked how he found the time to study, Dilhor explained that he used any free time from work to get ready for school. “It wasn’t just about studying from books; I kept up with the news. Along with reading newspapers, I watched a few foreign news channels.”
